Dingle peninsular - a house on the hill.

Dingle 29th July to the 1st August

What a beautiful place - Dingle.  Though it rained on and off for the days we were there we found plenty to do.  A surprisingly busy town with plenty of tourists, some great drives around the area and lots of ruins and historic places to discover and the most well known is the Gallarus Oratory, the date of it being build is unknown but it's still water tight and in very good near original condition. Some of the sites are very old dating back over a thousand years.

Joan's house/holiday home was an excellent place to stay, and a stunning view over the farmlands, buildings, peninsula and out to sea. Jim couldn't help himself and gave the lawns a mow as Joan can't get here as much as she would like.

We went to the pub one rainy afternoon and watched the Kerry V Limerick Gaelic Football final. Very entertaining and similar to Aussie rules and there were lots of locals to cheers the teams on.
