Loch Lomond Area

Loch Lomond Area 29th and 30th June

Picked up a rental car at Edinburgh Airport and started our Scotland tour with Matt. Booked into the Callander Woods Holiday Park for two nights and stayed in a pod. The next day we explored the area driving toward Loch Lomond and found Balloch Castle & Country Park. Bit of a rainy day but great area to explore with no real plan just wandering.

We found a MacDonalds for lunch and then headed for Dumbarton Castle on the bank of the River Clyde. We were able to walk inside some of the grounds and get a few pictures. Glasgow is on the River Clyde just a bit downstream of the castle.

Then a drive up the west side of Loch Lomond stopping at a few places for a stretch and a walk, one stop being the Falls Of Falloch (they are keen on waterfalls in Scotland). Rained most of the way but good to get a look at Loch Lomond and the surrounding area.
